Few things are more irritating than having a man explain in patronisingly simple terms something we already understand. And few situations are actually less hilarious when the subject under scrutiny is something we as women know very well. Like periods. And being a woman in the workplace.
Mansplaining happens with alarming frequency, too. Most of us will experience a haughty verbal back pat from a bloke desperate to assert his male dominance a few times a week.
So when Buzzfeed journalist Tracey Clayton put a shout out on Twitter for the most infuriating mansplaining moments people had ever experienced, she was inundated with replies.
