If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and thought you could look a bit better, then a covering of glitter may be the answer. That’s what a group Australian women did when it came to letting their body confidence shine in a Priscilla of the Desert inspired photoshoot.

Entitled ‘Positively Glittered’, the project is the brainchild of photographer Jill Kerswill, empowering women of all shapes and sizes to embrace and celebrate their bodies, whatever the shape or size.

It’s not the first time Jill has captured glittering women for the project, previously shooting 15 participants in a green countryside setting. For her latest set of snaps, models are pictured posing in the Australian Outback, wearing nothing but glitter, a few colourful sheaths and headdresses.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Jill said: “Women are taught from a young age that we’re not good enough, we need to be fixed.”

“There’s a dozen industries telling us we can pay for a cure to our shame. As a photographer, I’m in a unique position to help women feel great about themselves just the way they are.”

And her shots do just that. Amazing, aren’t they? Click through the gallery to take a look at more moments from her empowering project.
