OK, so its fairly clear from the lead image that good looks may well have played a part in the sudden fame of this female American firefighter.

Add to that she represents two of the most vindicated minorities in the US right now – Hispanic and Muslim people – doing a life-saving job for her community and we have an out-and-out recipe for internet success.

All she needed to do was tweet this… And watch the retweets rolls in. All 12,000 of them:

Rahma was incredibly grateful for all the support, not least from fellow Muslim men who congratulated her on her strong position:

Her 10 seconds of fame comes at a difficult time for Muslims in America under the presidency of Donald Trump.

Not only has he enforced restrictions on Muslims travelling to the country from certain parts of the world, but he has also introduced a seven-month ban on the transportation of electrical goods from certain countries too.

Ten airports in the Middle East and North Africa, all in countries with Muslim majorities, are said to be affected by the ban. The airline with the largest monopoly of those routes is world leaders Emirates.

In a statement to The Independent, an Emirates spokesperson said: “Emirates can confirm that as per the new security directive issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), electronic devices larger than a cell phone/smart phone, excluding medical devices, cannot be carried in the cabin of the aircraft.

“The directive comes into effect on 25 March 2017 and is valid until 14 October 2017.

“It is applicable to all US-bound passengers from Dubai International Airport, whether originating or transiting through.

“Emirates requests that all passengers travelling to the US pack all electronic devices larger than a cell phone/smart phone in their checked-in baggage.”
