‘The Voice Kids UK’ is set to take over ITV this month and the talent looks through the roof.
In a short preview clip of the new reality show, several young singers are shown belting their hearts out and seriously impressing the coaches – with some even leaving the panel “speechless”.
So when does it start, who are these ‘speechless’ coaches and what can we expect? Here’s what we know…
What Is ‘The Voice Kids UK’?
A spin-off from the hugely popular ITV (and previously BBC) reality series, ‘The Voice Kids UK’ is a television singing competition open to youngsters aged seven to 14 years old. The format is the same, with celebrity coaches and spinning chairs. The only difference being is that the contestants are pint-sized.
Who are the coaches?
‘The Voice UK’ veteran Will.i.am is resuming his role in the red chair for ‘The Voice Kids UK’, but he is joined by two new coaches. Pop singer Pixie Lott is taking one chair, while Danny Jones from the successful band McFly will be sat in the other. Both Pixie and Danny started their careers in their teenage years, so they are bound to be full of helpful tips and advice for the hopefuls.
Who will host ‘The Voice Kids UK’?
Emma Willis, who hosts ‘The Voice UK’, is also taking to the mic to present this spin-off. Radio DJ and ‘Cold Feet’ actor Cel Spellman will meanwhile host the digital switchover show, ‘The V Room’, on the ITV Hub.
When does it start?
ITV are keeping us on our toes, however rumours has it that ‘The Voice Kids UK’ will fill the void of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. This gives us Saturday 10 June as a potential launch date.
