‘The Voice UK’ grand finale last night didn’t go down without a number of hitches – including a stage invasion that saw a man child in a cap wander onto the set, only to be bundled off seconds later by two burly security guards.
The stunt happened just as Jennifer Hudson’s contestant Jamie Miller was booted out of the competition.
But who was the mystery bomber? Fans watching the show at home were quick to point fingers at comedian Lee Nelson, who has been known to pull similar gaffs during ‘The X Factor’ shows and Kanye West’s headline set at Glastonbury.
“#TheVoice Must be that Lee Nelson bloke on the voice,” one follower tweeted.
“Has Lee nelson just rushed the voice? How does he even get let into the studios,” another proclaimed.
The comedian, who is currently on tour, hasn’t yet laid claim to the stunt. We’ve also contacted his management to find out, but so far, so silent from them too.
Elsewhere in the show, Tom Jones’ microphone picked him up saying “f**k me” after his act Into The Ark made it through to the final stage.
“There may have been a little swear word that popped out then through excitement – apologies to anybody if they were offended,” presenter Emma Willis said shortly afterwards.
The eventual winner of ‘The Voice UK’ was the wild-eyed Mo Adeniran from team J Hudd.
