Look away now if you want to keep all details about Season 2 of ’13 Reasons Why’ a secret until you’re on the couch and its out on Netflix. We have a pretty big spoiler for you.
Despite the fact we listened to all of her tapes and witnessed her death in the final episodes, Hannah Baker will indeed be back in the second series.
“Hannah’s story is still very much not finished,” showrunner Brian Yorkey told The Hollywood Reporter. “She’s an integral part of whatever the next chapter of the story is, and she’s very much still at the centre of it.”
Just like the first season, she’ll likely be popping up in further flashbacks. Perhaps, we’re guessing, as the school is taken to court by Hannah’s parents, and perhaps Bryce Walker stands trial, too.
Hannah’s voiceover may be gone in the forthcoming season, but perhaps we’re set to see the story narrated by a different character instead? We’re certainly met with some ambiguity over the health of Alex in the last episode. Perhaps he left a similar breadcrumb trail of evidence for the others to find?
And what about Tony? Is he going to inexplicably show up everywhere Clay is and annoy the hell out of everyone with cryptic clues, or is he going to tell us what’s going on?
As of yet, Season 2 is yet to be officially confirmed. We’ll let you know the release dates and any more details when we have them.
