2017 has been a preeeetty good year for Rihanna — not only has she smashed the charts yet again with Wild Thoughts, torn up New York Fashion Week with her Fenty x Puma collection, taken a starring role in sci-fi blockbuster Valerian and made actual societal change with her Fenty Beauty range, but now she’s about to add something else major to that glowing list.
One eagle-eyed Riri stan has unearthed what could be her rather unexpected new business venture: her very own wine.
Rihanna filed a new trademark for “FENTY Estates Wine and Spirits Company”. This is not a drill. pic.twitter.com/rIQZth0ZgG

Before we get started, if you’re wondering whether the file is actually legit, you can view the whole trademark application and status right here.
It appears that Rihanna and/or her people may have applied for the trademark for ‘FENTY Estates Wine and Spirits Company’ on 10 August 2017, with the goods and services on offer listed as “distilled spirits; wine”. While the trademark hasn’t been confirmed by her yet, the name is the clearest indication that it’s linked to the Bajan superstar, featuring her last name as with her many other business ventures.
She’s not the first celeb to dip her toe in the wine industry though, with the likes of Drew Barrymore, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and Sting all owning their own drinks labels.
But we can’t help but wonder what kind of tipple Badgal Riri would be in to… perhaps a Sweet Sauvignon Blanc? Or how about a fruity rosé? All we know is we’ll definitely be trying a glass or two if it does eventually launch.
