If there’s one thing that’d put a smile on our faces in the midst of a break-up, it’d be Rihanna sliding into our DMs.

Luckily, our favourite Barbadian beauty was on hand to help out a fan in need on Twitter yesterday when he messaged her privately to ask for advice as he was “struggling” with a broken heart.

Her response was too good not to share:

“Just believe that the heartbreak was a gift in itself! Cry if you have to but it won’t be forever! You will find love again and it will be even more beautiful! In the meantime, enjoy all that YOU are!”

The heartbroken guy in question, @WaladShami, shared a screenshot of the message with a caption reading: “Thank you, I love you @Rihanna”. So far, more than 30,000 people have liked it and nearly 10,000 have retweeted it.

“It was my first relationship ever and they ended it with me in January but it’s been really hard for a multitude of reasons,” he told Buzzfeed. “I reached out to Rihanna because she’s given me advice many times – she’s wise ’n shit. Lol.”

Ri-Ri has been there for her Navy before, most memorably when she helped a gay fan come out last year with this empowering reply to his call for help:

“Baby it’s okay to be scared, but it’s more important to be who you are! You don’t have a choice really! That’s not a decision to be made! You are who you are and as hard as it may seem, the best shit ever is freedom and peace within yourself! Your family may not understand but luckily you live in a generation that does, and not to mention the community here among us, we will hold you down boo!”

It’s refreshing to see a singer with 74.2m Twitter followers take the time to personally reply to fans who need her most. Being beautiful inside as well as out only makes us love Rihanna more.
