We didn’t think we’d be writing about Chrissy Teigen for a little while after she was blocked by Donald Trump following a sustained and ruthless Twitter trolling that lasted five years before ending with this immortal five-word phrase.
Would she ever post anything quite so brilliant again, we wondered? And yet, just one week later, as we’re examining our own greasy under-skin growths in the mirror, she goes and makes us feel slightly less crap about ourselves. Turns out, we’re not the only ones that suffer the injustice of period skin. Chrissy gets it too:

The post might be short, but it’s mighty enough to have received a heap of praise since she posted it.
“Thank you for making us feel less alone,” one fan wrote.

We’re not crying, you’re crying.
“As the father of two young girls, it’s reassuring to see a LITERAL model who is comfortable in her own imperfections,” another grateful dad wrote back. “A sincere thank you.”
OK, now we really are crying.
It’s not new, but we’re forever thankful for models and Insta-babes for adopting a #nofilter policy and showing young women what young women truly look like. Beautiful no matter what. One day, we’ll believe it, too.
