Unless you’ve been hiding under a kitchen sink for the last 24 hours, you’ll probably know that the excellent Women’s Equality Party founder Sandi Toksvig and bizarre mullet-loving comedian Noel Fielding have been announced as the presenters of Channel 4’s Great British Bake-Off reboot.
The unlikely pair will join judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith in the new format, expected to hit the small screen later this year.
However the decision has left fans across the nation divided. Toksvig seems on brand, but can the Bake Off’s traditionalism survive the surrealist humour of Mighty Boosh star Fielding? Are we going to be able to unsee those cape and space boots ensembles he’s highly likely to be wearing in the tent this summer? The jokes are already coming in thick and fast…

Sandi, however, got a far higher approval rating:

As did Great British Menu star Prue Leith:
In fairness, Prue Leith is a good booking (a very good booking), and at least you can’t accuse C4 of making a safe choice for host!

Do you think Noel and Sandi were the right choice?
