London Chain To Serve Oreo Cheesecake Milkshakes In Chocolate Easter Eggs

If you’re anything like us, then milkshakes and chocolate are two of your favourite treats, and the thought of a milkshake served up in an Easter egg will get your mouth watering.

Often, news of crazily delicious sounding food quickly disappoints when we find out it’s not actually available in the UK. Not this time.

The Diner’s Peepshake is hitting London on Good Friday, combining New York cheesecake milkshake, a giant chocolate egg, whipped cream, Oreos and bright blue peeps.

If, like us, you’d never heard of peeps, they’re cute marshmallow candies shaped to look like chicks and bunnies and plopped into Easter baskets in the states.

The Peepshake does cost £15 (sorry) and there is one other catch (really sorry). To get your hands on one of these gloriously calorific beauties, you have to be one of the first five customers in each restaurant to ask for one.

So, prepare to hot foot it to one of these nine sites as a matter of urgency tomorrow morning: Gloucester Road, Islington, Dalston, Camden, Covent Garden, Shoreditch, Spitalfields, Soho or the Strand. On your marks, get, set…go!

Prosecco & Strawberries

Not an egg as such, but exceptions can be made when the chocolate is shaped like a bottle of Prosecco! Sadly, it is not laced with the bubbly plonk, but it does come with six white chocolate strawberries.

Cheester Egg

If chocolate is not what you’re after this Easter, then check out this invention by food blogger Annem Hobson. Your eyes are not deceiving you, it is an egg made out of cheese. Sadly, the big eggs have sold out, but you can still get your hands on a smaller version if you’re quick. Say cheese!

Cheester Egg, £14.99

Move over tinfoil, this egg doesn’t need any elaborate wrapping as it is hand painted. Yup, technically you could even hang it on the wall. Sort of.
