There’s nothing quite like curly fries to put a smile on our face. Hungover or not they’re just as deliciously comforting and now you can make them for yourself at home quickly and easily. And you thought spiralizers were just for healthy stuff didn’t you?
How to make curly fries from Girls Like Carbs
100g plain flour
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt
50 ml water
300ml vegetable oil (for shallow frying)
Salt & pepper
Spiralize the potato and place in water for 30 mins – 1 hour. This will help de-starch the potato.
Add the flour, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt and water to a bowl and mix together.
Drain the potatoes and pat dry. Coat in the mix and allow to marinade for at least 30 min.
Shallow fry the coated potatoes in hot vegetable oil for 8-10 minutes, or until nice and crispy. Place on kitchen towel to absorb any excess oil.
Season with salt and pepper.
