The Newest Festival In Town Will Make You Work Up A Sweat

LoveFit

Forget your Glastonbury ticket application misery, because there’s hope with new festival in town ‘LoveFit’. That’s if you’re not opposed to a cheeky work out of course.

But before you exit this article quicker than we can type treadmill, read on, because this new kid on the block may just surprise you.

This festival is a far cry from sweating it out in a gym, having a personal trainer shout at you while you lift weights as heavy as you are. Think more wild swimming in a lake and practising hot yoga in a yurt followed by a soak in a hot tub and an after party. This is a boutique camping getaway and it’s all very wholesome. Perhaps a little too wholesome, but throw in some great sunsets (hopefully), Tom Findlay from Groove Armada, tequila and prosecco (skinny of course) and surely you’ve got a winner?

LoveFit is set in beautiful grounds in Kent and it’s all about fitness, food and music. Sounds like a great combination to us. Glasto without the carb overload.

When Is It?

LoveFit will take place 28 – 31 July 2017

Where?

St Clere Estate, Kent

What Music Is There at LoveFit?

There will be music stars from Groove Armada to Jessica Skye and Danny Howard from Radio 1 spinning the decks on stage in the forest transformed by night into an enchanted and majestic setting. It will be a mixture of contemporary house music, beachy grooves, singalong classics, hip-hop, soul, blues and more.

Is It Too Annoyingly Wholesome For Me?

Good question. Well the LoveFit ethos is laid-back, fun and informal. The organisers have reassured that it will be non-pretentious with a non-hippie dippy approach to fitness. It is all about loosening up. When it comes to the evening, you can head to one of the make-up artists or hairdressers to get splattered with glitter, your hair braided and your body marbled in UV paint. You can go dance to a top DJ, chill, or all of the above.

Is It Some Kind Of Bootcamp That Starves You?

Absolutely not! This is not a bootcamp. This fest is equal parts food to fitness. You don’t have to be vegan or veggie either, everyone is catered for. Think all ‘fit’ food from burgers to to falafel wraps and vegan donor kebabs. And what’s a festival without ice-cream? FroByJoy will be serving up frozen coconut yoghurt which is dairy-free, gluten-free, soya-free and guilt-free. More of a flapjack kind of girl? They’ve got those too.

The snow man – we've been testing our pour and we like this one. What do you think?

Can I Drink Booze?

Obviously. This is a fun festival after all. There will be skinny prosecco on offer, cocktails from Wonder Bars made using fresh fruit and berries in place of refined sugars, plus gin, tequilas and gluten free beer. There will be regular drinks too in case your palms are sweating just thinking about going four days without your Sauvignon Blanc. We wouldn’t put anyone through such an ordeal, trust us.

Is There Anywhere To Relax?

We’re glad you asked because deep in the forest will be a sanctuary of bubbling hot tubs, swinging hammocks and spa treatments for the weary. While there is little information on this so far, we assume this will cost extra.

Down To Business. How Much Is LoveFit?

3 nights camping and 4 days access

Standard Weekend Camping Ticket: £140

Student/Concession Standard Weekend Ticket: £119

Weekend Ticket Campervan: £150

The good news is you can pay in installments if cost is an issue. Ideal.

It might not have Radiohead headlining, but you’re bound to come back fitter, healthier and maybe even a little bit refreshed despite probably dousing yourself in skinny prosecco. Now where do we sign up? Oh yes, here.
