Being a Kardashian or a Jenner isn’t all it’s cracked up to be if the number of lawsuits hitting Instagram’s most famous family is anything to go by.
Fresh off the back of the cringeworthy band T-shirts that saw Kendall and Kylie hit headlines for all the wrong reasons, yet more legal action has come their way. This time, Kylie and Kim are caught in the headlights and are being sued for their beauty lines.
Kim’s fresh-to-the-market KKW Beauty has angered Kirsten Kjaer Weis, the Danish makeup artist behind the decade-old organic beauty brand, Kjaer Weis.
TMZ reports that Kirsten filed a trademark suit after noticing an alleged similarity between the reality TV star’s logo and her own. She is concerned that customers are confusing the two cosmetics lines, negatively affecting the reputation of her company, and wants Kim to cough up profits and damages.
KKW Beauty, however, does not believe its logo infringes on Kjaer Weis’s copyright and sources close to Kim say she consulted numerous trademark attorneys to protect her line from such accusations.
Kylie, meanwhile, has been accused of ripping off an artist to promote her new E! series Life of Kylie. Sara Pope has filed a suit against the youngest Jenner and NBC Universal, claiming that the neon lips visuals they are using have been stolen from her 2015 art installation Temptation Neon.

The defendants are yet to comment on the case, but sources close to the production of the docu-series have told TMZ that Kylie was not involved with the lip logo.
