Katy Perry was a force to be reckoned with as she stepped foot on the BRIT Awards 2017 red carpet!
The US singer, 32, is set to perform her new single ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ at the music event and seemed more than ready for action.
Katy opted for shimmery co-ords, comprising of a fringed mini-dress and matching blazer. The star styled her newly-dyed blonde hair in a funky topknot mohican and finished off her look with a choker and lashings of metallic eyeshadow. Wow!
We hope tonight’s performance will be a good one, as Katy has revealed that her first ever BRIT Awards experience was something she’d rather forget…
Speaking to Radio 1 on Wednesday morning (22 February), Katy recalled how she was super-sick at the 2009 ceremony.
She said: “The first time I went to the BRITs I had a flu – of maybe 102F [temperature] – and I was so sick. I walked the carpet and they [my team] were like ‘You can’t go home’ as they knew I was gonna win, and I was like, ‘Why am I here, I’m literally dying’.”
Katy added: “I went to the girls’ bathroom and went under a credenza and Natalie Imbruglia pulled up the curtain and was like, ‘Are you alright babe?’ and I was shivering with cold sweats and was like, ‘I’m supposed to be here at the BRITs, I think I’m getting an award’.
“I had to stay and get the award and I just went straight to bed. It was tragic, it was my only connection with the BRITs.”
Here’s hoping for a better night, Katy!
