Now we have another excuse to sing ‘OH JEREMY CORBYN at the top of our lungs post festival season, as the Labour leader is set to appear in a new episode of Gogglebox.

He’ll be taking to his (or someone else’s) sofa as part of Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer special, complete with a “mystery celebrity” friend to help him muse over all of the previous week’s TV happenings. We can see it now: Jezza and a mate catching up on a bit of Bake Off, Countryfile, with a dash of Grand Designs thrown in…

According the the BBC, his episode is being recorded this week, and will air in the UK next week, likely in Gogglebox’s usual slot of Friday night at 9pm.

As for who else will be joining Jezza in the episode, we’re currently in the dark. Last year saw the likes of Olly Murs, Niall Horan and Jack Whitehall poised in front of their TVs, so we can only expect even greater things this time around.
