For fashion runway followers, leopard, zebra and snake wardrobe additions were a given for the coming autumn/winter season, after it popped up on almost every catwalk at fashion week back in February and they’ve already discovered how to wear animal print in style.
But for the rest of us, it’s sort of sprung on us. It is EVERYWHERE and if you haven’t noticed it swarming stores at every corner, you must’ve been busy Snapchatting.
It is all over the high street, that takes style leads from designer runways. And with everyone from Victoria Beckham to Isabel Marant, Tom Ford and Max Mara working animal magic throughout their collections, it was bound to take hold.
Of course all we all care about is how to wear animal print well and where you can buy cool but cheap pieces.
Shevolution has done all the hard work for you, check out our round up of must-have animal print buys below. They’re all under £25 too. You are SO welcome.
Inject it subtly into your look using footwear or accessories
If you’re not used to wearing animal print and it’s making your nervous, start small with earrings or shoes.
This Instagrammer gave us serious style inspiration.

Sexy slinky pieces will own it
Satin wraps and silky picks will do the job and show you’re owning the trend proudly – plus they’re perfect for cocktails out with the girls.
Keep it cool and casual
If you’re more of a laid-back kind of girl, a cheeky animal print tee paired with your fave jeans is the way to go. When it cools down, a biker jacket over the top wouldn’t go a miss either. Or you can dress it up a bit come night time by rocking it with leather trousers and a blazer like this Instagrammer.
Update your denim
Denim doesn’t need to be blue, black, grey or white guys. Take your cue from @Natinstablog below who rocked a matchy-matchy red leopard denim set that looked seriously epic. You can’t get much more playful or coolly casual than animal print denim, so give it a go. See you’ve got the hang of how to wear animal print already, haven’t you?
Work cool crops
We love a crop top whatever its form. But when you throw animal print into the crop top game it’s a whole new level of cool. Wear yours with high-waisted jeans and Converse for the ultimate off-duty autumn look. If you’re heading off for a late sunny getaway, wear yours with cute shorts and slides.
Before we know it an autumn chill will be here (sob). And while we love the summer months, autumn/winter season provides us the chance to bring out cosy knits, cool bikers and our favourite boots, so it’s not all bad. That’s especially the case when knitwear can be brought to life with animal prints to really make your new season wardrobe stand out.
Be bold and bright
Leopard print doesn’t need to be in its natural colourway and zebra doesn’t have to be in black and white. Shake things up and pick up something bright this season to really make the print pop.
