December is sure to be the true season of Netflix and chill (as it’s bloomin’ cold outside right now), so thankfully there are some great new shows and films set to arrive on the streaming platform just in time for the festive period – not to mention some glorious Christmas gems.

Dark season 1
If you love a gripping murder mystery, you NEED to watch Dark. It follows the disappearance of two children from a small German town (and the whole thing’s in German with English subtitles), taking us all on a time-bending adventure.

Christmas doesn’t officially start until you’ve watched this British classic at least once. Prepare to laugh, cry and dance along, even though you’ve seen it a million times before.

Mad Max: Fury Road
This epic apocalyptic blockbuster lands on Netflix on Christmas eve, and while it’s not particularly festive viewing, it’s definitely worth a watch.

Based on a true story, this two-time Oscar winning flick follows a team of Boston-based journalists working to uncover child abuse in the church that runs deeper than ever thought possible.
