Harry Styles has finally lifted the lid on his romance with Taylor Swift a whopping five years after they split.
The One Direction star was briefly linked to Tay back in 2012 and, although there has been speculation that BOTH parties have penned songs about each other, he has never spoken out.
As he gears up to release his debut solo music, Harry has finally broken his silence in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.
During the chat with the iconic mag, Harry was asked why it didn’t all end happily ever after with Taylor.
He admitted: “Certain things don’t work out. There’s a lot of things that can be right, and it’s still wrong…
“Meeting someone new, sharing those experiences, it’s the best sh**t ever. So thank you.”
That actually sounds quite positive, right?
Last week, Harry unveiled the cover and tracklisting for his hotly anticipated, self-titled debut album.
Within minutes, Twitter had gone into overdrive with fans taking a punt that one of the tunes – ‘Ever Since New York’ – is named after the blonde bombshell herself.
K so one of the songs on Harry's new album is titled "Ever Since New York" and I think WE CAN ALL AGREE THAT ITS ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFT

The pair were snapped together in New York’s Central Park in 2012, which initially sparked the relationship rumours.
One follower has mused: “Bets on whether or not ever since New York is about Taylor.”
Another tweeted: “K so one of the songs on Harry’s new album is titled Ever Since New York and I think WE CAN ALL AGREE THAT IT’S ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFT.”
If Harry has penned that, or any other track for that matter, about Taylor, then it could be a case of him getting his own back.
When Taylor released her last album 1989 three years, it was speculated that she had also been busy thinking back to those Central Park days.
One song was tellingly called ‘Welcome To New York’, while the track ‘Style’ featured the lyrics such as:
“You got that James Dean daydream look in your eye/ You’ve got that long hair slick back, white t-shirt.”
We will leave it there.
Harry Styles has spoken to Rolling Stone for the magazine’s May issue.
