Get Ready To GLOW With Big Hair And Body Slams

GLOW is the next big show set to take Netflix by storm and we cannot wait to fluff up our hair, don a unitard and tune in.

But why should you be joining us? Here’s what we know…

What is GLOW about?

GLOW stands for Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling, which straight up gives you a clue as to what this show is all about. The American comedy series is set in the 1980s and follows a group of female professional wrestlers, based in Los Angeles. Struggling for cash due to being out of work, actress Ruth Wilder heads for an audition a little out of her comfort zone. But she impresses, and finds herself and 11 other Hollywood misfits forming GLOW. As the girls hit the headlines, they soon begin to find fame.

Who stars in GLOW?

US actress Alison Brie takes the lead of Ruth Wilder. Her previous credits include rom-coms The Five Year Engagement and How To Be Single. Ruth also voiced Princess Unikitty in The Lego Movie and joined the Netflix cast of ‘BoJack Horseman’ in 2014. Other stars include Nurse Jackie’s Betty Gilpin and American stand-up comic, actor and director Marc Maron.

What can we expect?

This series has been brought to Netflix by the team being ‘Orange Is The New Black’. Given the huge haul of industry nominations and awards ‘Orange Is The New Black’ has won over the years, including four Emmys, we’re expecting good things from ‘GLOW’.

When is it on?
