But it doesn’t have to be that way. Oh no, you can now say goodbye to postage panic thanks to our handy lists of tips that’ll cut those delivery costs right down. Your favourite shops actually offer many ways to get money off, whether it’s through loyalty schemes or pre-paid delivery passes, so we’re here to tell you about the best of them. Enjoy and happy shopping!

Superdrug

Got a Superdrug Beautycard? Yes? Then all you need to do is register your card online to get free home delivery when you spend over £10 – which isn’t a difficult feat given most mascaras are £8 alone! Not many people are aware of this perk, but its a lifesaver when you can’t find your favourite products in your local store.

If you haven’t got a Beautycard, you can pick one up in store for free or register online now.

H&M

The H&M Club is seriously one of the best clothing store loyalty schemes, but most people don’t even know it exist! No only do you get 10 per cent off when you join and points every time you shop, but unlimited free home delivery. What more could you ask for? Sign up here.

New Look

You have to spend a whopping £100 to get free next day delivery at New Look, but if you’re a regular shopper it might be worth bagging its Delivery Pass for £19.99 a year. It gives you unlimited free next day delivery for 12 months, which usually costs £5.99 a go. Or you could be cheeky and split it with a friend to both make the most of the free delivery…

Other than that, its click and collect service is entirely free on orders over £19.99.

Boots

Boots has a similar setup, with its click and collect service costing you a big fat nothing. However, its service is a bit speedier as it promises your items will be ready to collect after 12pm if you order before 8pm the night before. Great for if you’re planning to pass your local store at any point in your day.

Topshop

Promo codes for free delivery often pop up for Topshop, so it’s a case of keeping a keen eye with this one. However, you can get free delivery on orders over £50 (which is easy to spend here) or free delivery to a store of your choosing on orders of any value.

If you’re a student, be sure to register with UNiDAYS to get 10 per cent off purchases 24/7, which may actually save you an amount equal to the cost of postage.

Your online shopping binges just got cheaper!

M&S

Good ol’ high street fave M&S falls in a similar boat as most retailers when it comes to delivery. It’s free to click and collect items in store, while standard delivery is only free over £50. But if you really want that free delivery, you can always bulk you order up to £50 (especially if you’re already near that figure) and return part of it straight away by post.

This includes unlimited next day delivery, while its standard delivery usually costs £2.99 a go. However, you’ll also find promo codes aplenty floating around the internet for discounted delivery if you’re placing a one-off order.

Skinnydip London

We love Skinnydip‘s fun accessories, but we love its delivery costs even more. Order over £20 of goodies and you’ll get them shipped entirely for free, so there’s even more of a reason to add a few more things to your basket. Or why not ask a friend if she wants anything ordered at the same time and you’ll both save on delivery costs!
