Coachella isn’t really like any festival we in Europe are familiar with. There is no mud, no rain, no reliance on wellington boots and no pooping in showers (from what we’ve heard, anyway. Kendall’s fairly against that sort of stuff). Instead, there is the heat of the Californian sun, designated drinking areas, an average line-up and hordes of celebrities showing off their perfectly toned pins in micro shorts. It is a place to be seen and snapped wearing the best outfits slung nonchalantly on their tanned bods and teamed with festival inappropriate sandals. Lucky for them, most never leave the VIP area.
Here’s our pick of the best dressed. IE who looked the least like they gave one and the most like they were there to have a good time.
Starting with this excellent effort by Rihanna to wear as many rhinestones as possible and potentially risking overheating by making said effort in a polo-neck jumpsuit from Gucci’s AW17 collection:
God, we love Solange. The Queen of Cool looked relaxed and awesome with her blorange curls, off-shoulder top and a pair of mom jeans:
According to Vogue, Selena Gomez worked with a stylist to a achieve this look, which we like to call “wearing a 50s dress and whack some trainers on because its a festival and you’ll be walking a lot”. Still, full marks for accessorising with The Weeknd:

White is an impractical colour for a festival, but if you’re only going to swan around a backstage area, then we heartily recommend this off-the-shoulder crochet number Chanel Iman wore to the Revolver party. Loving the rock ‘n’ roll accessories and those awesome braids, too:
This is probably the most dressed down we’re ever likely to see Kylie Jenner. And we’re loving how comfortable she looks in trainers, jeans and a tank top, too:
If in doubt? Do a Nicole and go for a black maxi, a slick top knot and a pair of shades. Maximum comfort. Minimum effort. Still looks chic AF.
She’d piss you off with that umbrella in a crowd, but undisputed princess of festival chic Kate Bosworth looked immaculate as usual in this voluminous white outfit with flat sandals. Well, until she sits on the grass, that is:
Until next weekend…
