Prince Harry has always been viewed as the less traditional royal, which he only reinforced after getting into a relationship with non-royal actress Meghan Markle last year. And it seems to have worked out well for them both, as the couple are allegedly preparing to marry, and, in fact, might already be engaged.
So, how do we know? There are lots of rumours circulating that might point to Harry putting a ring on it, the first being allegations that Meghan has quit her lead role in legal drama Suits. According to reports, she’s chucked in the towel and will not be returning for the show’s eight season, and will be wrapping up her final appearances next month.
The second clue is that they far-too-cute couple are allegedly house hunting in Oxfordshire right now, looking for a home in the same Cotswolds region enjoyed by the likes of Kate Moss, the Beckhams and Stella McCartney. Having made their first ever public appearance as a twosome at the Invictus Games in Toronto this October, it’s clear that the duo have the royal seal of approval as an official item, with marriage likely in their future. Many sources say that an announcement will be made just in time for Christmas this year.
But despite checking herself out of the acting game, a move across the pond won’t mean Meghan has to give up her dreams for a man — she’s also a dedicated humanitarian with plenty of charity work under her belt, which she can continue to strengthen if she eventually joins the royal family. She’s a a global ambassador for World Vision and a UN Women Advocate for Political Participation & Leadership, so we can’t think of anyone more fit to be a modern-day princess than Meghan.
