‘Britain’s Next Top Model’ fans: The wait is finally over.
The hit TV show returns with a bang tonight for its 11th series. Fist pump!
Judges Abbey Clancy and Paul Sculfor are back on the panel and this year they are joined by two newbies, fashion editor Hilary Alexander and acclaimed photographer Nicky Johnston.
The names of the 12 girls hoping to be crowned BNTM have been announced and, among the lineup, is the show’s first ever transgender contestant.
The hopefuls in the running to becoming BNTM 2017 are:
Abigail Heaton: A 19-year-old waitress from Manchester who has spent most of her life on her family’s chicken farm.
Alannah Beirne: This 22-year-old assistant pub manager is bound to have some tricks up her sleeve, as her mum was a professional model.
Anastasia Ellis: It’s hard to believe that 20-year-old Anastasia was recently sporting dreadlocks. Look her up on Instagram!
Bianca Thomas: The 21-year-old hopeful works as a waitress at a holiday resort for the elderly and proudly sports funky tattoos on one arm and leg.
Chloe Lockley-Middleton: A 20-year-old psychology student from Huddersfield who has a whopping 20,000 followers on gaming site Twitch!
Eleanor Sippings: An aspiring Victoria’s Secret model, 18-year-old Eleanor from Essex works as a caterer at a zoo.
Jennifer Malengele: College student Jennifer, 18, loves nothing more than uploading beauty tutorials to YouTube…and playing Pokemon.
Olivia Wardell: This 18-year-old from Southampton has worked in a cafe since finishing her A Levels. Her model idol is Kendall Jenner.
Simone Murphy: Events manager Simone, 22, is from Scotland, was a cheerleader at uni and worked three summers in Ibiza. Check out her eyebrows, they give Cara Delavignes’ a run for their money.
Tallulah Bluebell: A 19-year-old artist from London who designs some of her own clothes. Tallulah studied at The BRIT School, where past students include Amy Winehouse and Adele.
Talulah-Eve Brown: Aged 22, Talulah-Eve is the first transgender contestant to take part in ‘BNTM’. She has a black belt in karate, is a writer and is a campaigner for transgender rights.
Victoria Clay: Victoria, 23, has a first-class honours degree and works in design and administration. She is a huge David Bowie fan.
