That flimsy retracting wall, those dangerously high chairs, Graham with a quick reminder… We thought it was gone and lost forever.

Well, trash TV fans, prepare to kiss goodbye to your social lives, because ‘Blind Date’ is officially coming back to the small screen after 13 years off air. With a couple of changes.

The biggest one being that, of course, original host Cilla Black is sadly no longer with us. According to The Sun, former ‘Geordie Shore’ star Vicky Pattinson is the front runner to host the rebooted show. Other names in line to take the lead include Olly Murs, Helen Flanagan and Georgia May Foote.

The second is that it won’t be on ITV. A report in Broadcast claims the revival will instead happen over on Channel 5 (aka Home of Trash).

And the third is that it’s expected to move from its traditional prime time Saturday night telly slot to a Friday evening. Blind Date 2.0 (as we’re calling it) should be back by the end of 2017.
