First there were music festivals, then came the prosecco and gin festivals and now our lives are being made by a pizza festival happening right here in the UK. This is not a drill.
This is a food festival you don’t have to be a real foodie for, because everyone likes pizza. The cheesy gooey goodness are little slices of heaven with as much or as little topping as you like. You can be veggie or obsessively carnivorous and still enjoy a slice so what’s not to love about the news?
The event will take place in Birmingham on April 29 at No21 Digbeth, a new regular street food venue run by Taste and Liquor who host food-related events weekly. But Brum’s Big Fat Pizza Festival is just once a year, so you really don’t want to miss out.
When: Saturday 29 April, 12:00-20:00
Where: 21 Milk Street, Digbeth, B5 5TR
The festival is set to make our cheesiest dreams come true with its array of pizza from independent Pizza Street Food Traders throughout the UK. With offerings from top pizzerias in the country including Pizza Di Bruni and Solwuna Pizza, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Your main concern is going to be which one to choose! It’s a nice problem to have, admittedly.
With carb overload comes a thirsty diner, but there’s no need to sweat it on the refreshment front. From craft beers to hot rum cocktails, every base will be covered by the in-house mixologists. Reckon you can stomach dessert too? You’re in luck! Street-food traders such as Jack’s Lewis Chocolates and Drunkin Dunkin will be on hand to help combat your sweet tooth.
To finish off the night you can choose to Play Your Cards Right, have a bingo rave or watch and 80s movie, it’s all pretty retro.
These food-focused occasions are definitely our new favourite events. Food, booze and fun all under one roof and still get home in time to catch your favourite box-set on Netflix. Where do we sign up? Oh yeah, here.
