Thought the pregnancy announcement was something else? Wait until you see the shoot Beyonce laid on to introduce twins Rumi and Sir Carter to the world for the first time.
There were no such sweaty and knackered post-labour pictures of “mum” in the delivery room. Instead, the singer can be seen draped in a purple and green floral sheet with a regal blue veil on her head. Nestled between the folds of the material are the newborns – a girl and a boy.
The image raked in more than two million Instagram likes in just one hour and looks set to surpass the previous record-breaking post with the most likes ever – Bey’s pregnancy photo.
“Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today”, she wrote alongside the image.
The image was posted just days after the names of the twins were revealed via legal documents filed in order to register them as trademarks.
News of their arrival was originally spoiled by Beyonce’s dad Matthew Knowles, who posted a very public congratulations card on Twitter.
Naturally, reaction to the post on social media has been similarly epic:

LISTEN Y’ALL, SHE SPECIFICALLY PUT SIR CARTER AND RUMI, NOT SIR AND RUMI CARTER. WE WILL REFER TO KING #1 BY HIS COMPLETE NAME, SIR CARTER pic.twitter.com/37bgVVzHWI
