There’s nothing we love more than a clothing collection designed to fit everyone. Not just people who range from a 6-14, or even those who fall just above or below those sizes. We mean everyone.
That’s where LaQuan Smith comes in. He’s a badass designer from Queens, New York, who’s dressed the Kardashians countless times – he practically invented the crop top and maxi skirt combo – designed Beyoncé’s OTR 2 tour wardrobe, and has now turned his talents to an ASOS capsule collection. And we want. it. all.
Leopard print blazers, embellished bombers and 90s cargo pants have all made the cut, bringing us serious retro vibes with a modern, sexy edge. Think bold, unapologetic style that would definitely look on point at some high-end club night, but without the mega designer price tag.
But the best thing about this collab has to be range of sizes on offer. Pieces start at a size 4, going up to a size 30 with a line of exclusive ASOS Curve items. LaQuan Smith, we applaud you. 👏
Speaking to Fashionista about the collection, he said: “I love a good curve — LaQuan Smith is always about accentuating the waist points and carving out the hips and just really celebrating the body.
“Now people know my identity and what I stand for. It’s just re-enforcing those messages and offering it in another way.”
But he’s not just dishing out pieces for ladies this time around. You’ll find plenty of items for the guys too, as well as some that are pretty gender neutral. This guy really does think of everything!
Prices start at around the £20 mark for jewellery and accessories, with most of the cool clothing falling in the £35-65 bracket. It hits the higher end for extra special pieces, such as the gorge £125 embellished meshed bomber jacket (one for the Christmas list) and £160 embellished maxi dress.
It’s all available now over on ASOS and we suggest snapping up your faves quick, as they definitely won’t be around for long…
