Adele further cemented her status as ‘star we’d most like to be mates with’ when she stopped singing mid-performance to shout at her security guard. Why? Because he was telling fans to sit down and stop dancing. At a music concert.

The singer was between songs during her final show in Melbourne over the weekend.

In front of 77,300 fans, she cut the music, before shouting:

“Just before we go to the next song… Excuse me sir? Could you stop telling people to sit down?

“If you don’t like dancing, don’t come to a f***ing music show. If I see one more person get told to sit down, I swear to God…”

In another part of the show, Adele also unwittingly helped a couple become engaged following her opening song, ‘Hello’.

She invited a crying fan, Chris, on stage with her after she saw him become upset during the track. His boyfriend then got on one knee and proposed, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.

“That wasn’t planned, I had no idea!” Adele said as they left the stage.
