A Nutella Cafe? Yep… It’s Happened

Nutella is a staple in many people’s diets. In fact, it is pretty hard to find someone who doesn’t enjoy that oh-so chocolatey and hazelnut goodness.

The makers of the spread – Ferrero – have now taken things one step further, by announcing the launch of the world’s first permenant Nutella Café.

Not only has the eatery been deigned in brown and red colours, so people “feel like they are walking into a jar of Nutella”, the cafe has a menu brimming with mostly waffles and pancakes – coated in Nutella.

If you’re after something a bit different, there’s Nutella fondue with shortbread biscuits and some pretty delicious fruit salads, drizzled with Nutella.

Excuse us a minute, we need a lie down.

Angela Baird, from Brand Innovation Group (who consulted with Ferrero), said: “It’s designed to make you feel like you’re actually walking into a jar of Nutella. Everything screams ‘Nutella’.”

Sadly, the Nutella Café is set to open in Chicago, America, but we are crossing our fingers that it could head across the pond at some point in the future.

Last year, Harvey Nichols in London’s Knightsbridge opened a pop up Nutella Café on its fifth floor. The eatery ran from November to January this year and it was a huge hit.

Hopefully, Nutella took note of its success. Until then, you’ll find us Skyscanner checking out airfare to Chicago…
