Ever since Pippa Middleton and James Matthews announced their engagement, we’ve been wondering if Prince George and Princess Charlotte would be part of the big day. But let’s be honest, how could she resist those adorable faces?
Kensington Palace has confirmed to The Telegraph that the children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be in the wedding party next month.
The Palace has also confirmed the exact date and location of the nuptials. The famous sister of future queen Kate will marry her fiancé James on May 20 at at St Mark’s Church, Englefield.
Charlotte who turns two on May 2, will act as a flower girl while four-year-old George will be a page boy. It’s certainly leading us to believe that the Duchess of Cambridge will not be a Bridesmaid, allowing her sister and children to take the limelight.
Kensington Palace told The Telegraph: “Miss Pippa Middleton and Mr. James Matthews are pleased to confirm their wedding will take place at St Mark’s Church, Englefield, on the morning of 20th May.
“The service will be attended by close family and friends, including The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. Prince George will be a page boy, and Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid.”
We cannot wait to see the pair’s wedding party outfits as they will no doubt steal the show. Sorry Pips! They’ve already won us over with their sweet smiles, royal waves and oh so preppy but oh so sweet ensembles. We have no doubts they’ll do it again next month. Part of us wonders if the two will run a little riot though. Being of royal blood, the twosome will be expected to be on their best behaviour but they are children after all. A little bit of us hopes Prince George and Princess Charlotte will throw an unexpected tantrum or that one of them plucks the wedding statue off the top of the thousand-tier cake.
Kate and William will no doubt be by their children’s side at the occasion as Pippa’s sister and brother-in-law respectively and of course to keep the kiddies in check. Joining them will be Made In Chelsea’s lothario Spencer Matthews, James’ brother, who is in the running for best man. We’re intrigued to see how that combination goes down.
While we’ve got a lot more information out of Kensington Palace over the nuptials, we’re still dying to see what kind of wedding dress Pippa will wear. Our bets are on something simple without lace, with a fairly fitted design. We can’t wait to find out. We do love a good wedding and this one is bound to be something pretty special.
