It’s official, Rihanna and Lupita N’Yongo are going to co-star together in a buddy movie to end all buddy movies. And it’s social media peer pressure that made it happen, too.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Oscar-winning actress and the singer will be directed by the equally acclaimed Ava Duverny (Selma).
Netflix jumped at the chance to fund the project, which will be written by Issa Rae (Insecure), at Cannes Film Festival.
It all started with an image of the pair sat side-by-side on the front row of the Miu Miu catwalk show for the fashion brand’s AW Collection in 2014.
