Jennifer Lawrence is a 26-year-old who enjoys having fun with her friends. She also happens to be an Oscar-winning actress.
Luckily, J-Law knows that being one of Hollywood’s leading ladies does not mean that she has to forgo a private life, which is why she is refusing to apologise after a grainy video of her dancing drunkenly on a strip pole leaked online.
US gossip site Radar Online published the footage, branding it a “stripper pole romp” of “America’s sweetheart cutting loose” in a club in Vienna, Austria.
The video shows the Hunger Games star dancing with a mystery man on a pole, before taking her outer top off and being carried off stage to rejoin her friends at a table.
Lawrence was quick to respond to critics, writing the following epic message on her Facebook page to the tune of 131,000 likes:
“Look, nobody wants to be reminded that they tried to dance on a stripper pole by the internet,” she wrote.“It was one of my best friend’s birthdays and I dropped my paranoia guard for one second to have fun. I’m not going to apologise, I had a blast that night.
P.S. That’s not a bra, it’s an Alexander Wang top and I’m not gonna lie, I think my dancing’s pretty good. Even with no core strength.”
In 2014, nude photos of Lawrence were stolen from her private iCloud account and published online.
The man responsible, 29-year-old Chicago resident Edward Majerczyk, is currently serving a nine-month prison sentence for stealing private information from more than 300 online accounts.
“It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime,” Lawrence told Vanity Fair of the intrusion. “It is a sexual violation. It’s disgusting. Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this. It does not mean that it comes with the territory.
“It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world.”
