The Bizarre Reason Jaden Smith Took His Old Dreadlocks To The Met Ball

Jaden Smith is known for being ‘out there’. And by ‘out there’, we mean the sort of guy who says stuff like this:

“It’s proven that how time moves for you depends on where you are in the universe. It’s relative to beings and other places. But on the level of being here on earth, if you are aware in a moment, one second can last a year. And if you are unaware, your whole childhood, your whole life can pass by in six seconds.”

Exactly.

So we weren’t entirely surprised by the fact he decided to accessorise his Met Gala Ball outfit with something strange. We could be forgiven for failing to guess it would be a bundle of his own old hair. Why? Because he couldn’t bring his sister.

Speaking to US Vogue’s Andre Leon, the 18-year-old star said: André Leon about his unusual look, he explained: “I’ve gone for the Dracula look today.

“And since I couldn’t bring my sister as a date, I brought my old hair.”

If that isn’t flattery, we don’t know what is.

“This is for the evening only,” he said, pointing to his mouth full of gold grills. “It has diamonds in it too.”

Jaden apparently chopped off his locks to play the boyfriend of a dying character, played by Cara Delevingne, in romantic drama ‘Life In A Year’.

At the same event, Cara arrived with a freshly shaven head painted silver and embellished with jewels.
