When it comes to choosing new pieces for our wardrobes, our heart pines for the intricate lace on the Self-Portrait dresses, the feel of furry Givenchy slides and the punchy prints of the Dolce & Gabbana skirts. It is a whole different story though when we reach for our purses and we’re left remembering that our averagely paid jobs won’t quite stretch. Sigh.
Shevolution has come to your rescue. We’ve scoured the runways and eyed up some ever so cool high-fashion pieces and then our beady eyes have spotted designer copycat buys on the high street. After Saint Laurent glitter booties for a cool £34.99? No problem. We know copying is a little bit wrong but our heart wants what it wants and until that £100k a year job rolls in, we’ll stick with these fab high street buys.
As we already mentioned, the Saint Laurent boots. Well, we can’t actually get you them for £34.99, but New Look have an epic copycat.
Slogans are a must-do this season and this Eugenia Kim hat has been hanging around a while now so several high street stores have decided to re-create it. Our favourite is at New Look.
You can never have too many pairs of heels and these Saint Laurent tricolour beauties with added glitter have made us seriously swoon. At £610 though, our swooning ground to a halt…that was until we saw a Zara version in the sale for £29.99. #winning
A Gucci logo tee has been calling us for months now. Tucked into our midi skirts or worn with our mom jeans, we know it’d look great, but at £320 it left our eyes watering. However, River Island’s designer copycat is a cool alternative.
Self-Portrait is a brand that has really taken off in the last couple of years and has been seen on everyone from Maisie Williams to Mollie King, Reese Witherspoon and Kristen Stewart. The statement lacy designs have been re-interpreted everywhere.
Pretty floral printed sandals for summer and autumn? Need. But don’t spend £665 when you can spend just £16 at Primark.
Furry slides have to be the most impractical pool footwear we’ve ever seen but that doesn’t mean we don’t want. Givenchy won over the likes of Kim and Khloe Kardashian, but we’d rather go faux and not break the bank with New Look’s designer copycats.
